(2009-09-03)

Zivile Ba Baltic Song contest in Karshamn (Sweden) acclaimed lithuanian singer Živilė Ba as one of the best, granting her with second prize.  The contest, running over 20 years, is the hinge of annual Karshamn Baltic Festival (Ostersjofestivalen) gathering crowds of music fans at it‘s great stage in townhall.
The festival ran out Baltic region limits years ago and this year it hosted performers not only from Estonia, Latvia, Lithuania, Sweden, Poland but also Switzerland, Russia, Macedonia and Norway. First prize went to Swiss rock musician Ivo. Živilė, the second best performer: „The winner surely has earned the first prize while I‘m happy I did my best – it was one of a few times I was completely happy with my performance“.  The public, festival crew and contest board, as well as other participants were fascinated by her extraordinary voice.
This international appreciation is second and probably the biggest one for Živilė. In 2008 she won Baltic New Music Chart contest (Lithuania, Latvia, Estonia) with her song „Stop That Train“.
